Pure Alentejo Gourmet Basket
"Puro Alentejo" is a complete and generous basket, designed for true connoisseurs of traditional products, with a focus on black pork, characterful cheeses, and convent sweets that taste of home and tradition.
The gastronomic highlight of this basket is provided by the black pork sausages from Barrancos – a wine sausage and a traditional sausage , both intense, aromatic and with a succulent texture, along with the irresistible black pork crackling , perfect for snacking and sharing.
Alongside them are two legendary cheeses from the Alentejo region: the Cured Goat Cheese , with its deep flavor, and the Serpa DOP Cheese , soft and creamy, ideal for enjoying slowly, in true Alentejo style.
The sweet component of this feast is well served by a delicate Extra Fig and Walnut Jam , rich and enveloping, by Honey and Coconut Cakes , reminiscent of traditional oven-baked sweets, and by Rosemary Honey from the Serra de Portel , with a soft floral aroma, perfect for finishing cheeses or sweetening bread and toast.
To complete the platter, we included thin and crispy Alentejo bread toasts with garlic and coriander , and a jar of Cordovil olives preserved with salt, oregano, and bay leaf , bringing to the table the authentic flavor of the montado (cork oak woodland) and countryside picnics.
The pairing will consist of two DOC wines:
– Vila dos Gamas Tinto DOC wine , round and gastronomic, ideal for charcuterie, cheeses and pork rinds;
– Vila dos Gamas Antão Vaz DOC wine , a white wine with freshness and structure, perfect to accompany cheeses and lighter snacks.
