Vasco da Gama, the famous Argonaut, 1st Count of Vidigueira and Admiral of the Indies, undertook an epic voyage of discovery from 1497 to 1499. The discovery of the sea route to India inspired the creation of 7 “Wine Acts,” with 7 stops corresponding to different stages of this Portuguese epic.
