Our honey’s characteristics are determined by the varied, typically Mediterranean flora found in the mountain range, giving it a unique quality. Our beehives are located in a vast non-agricultural area, free from the use of pesticides and agricultural chemicals, as well as industrial or urban pollution.
In forestry terms, Serra de Portel is dominated by montado, where holm oak and cork oak prevail. It is therefore within this ecosystem that spontaneous and varied flora develops, typically wild and Mediterranean in character, with rosemary and rockrose predominating, among others, offering great nectar and pollen richness and determining the characteristics of our products.
