Extra Virgin Monovarietal Galega Olive Oil - 500ml

Galega (Galega Vulgar) is the most rustic and representative Portuguese variety, found throughout almost the entire country, but with a strong heritage and tradition of cultivation in Alentejo.

This olive produces an oil with a thick texture, fruity aroma, and a sweet, smooth, balanced, and delicate flavour.  With a golden colour, it gives off notes of ripe fruit and a slightly peppery finish. 
When made from green olives, the oil is slightly bitter and peppery, with the flavour of green fruit and almond notes.


Oil profile:

Flavour: Ripe fruitiness with a balance between green and ripe notes, slight pepperiness, and almost imperceptible bitterness.
Texture: Smooth, with a medium to light body.
Aroma: Fresh, with herbal touches and a clean finish.
Suggestion: Galega olive oil is highly versatile, making it ideal for accompanying robust dishes such as red meat or oily fish. 
Nevertheless, it is also the perfect complement to salads and can replace butter in preparations where a healthier, Mediterranean profile is desired.
