The characteristics of our honey are determined by the varied, typically Mediterranean flora found in the hills, giving it a unique quality. Our beehives are located in a vast non-agricultural area, free from the use of pesticides and plant protection products, as well as industrial or urban pollution.
From a forestry perspective, Serra de Portel is dominated by montado, where holm oak and cork oak prevail. It is within this ecosystem that a spontaneous and varied flora develops, typically wild and Mediterranean in character, with rosemary and gum rockrose predominating, among others. This flora is rich in nectar and pollen, responsible for the characteristics of our products.
