Harvest: A year of great quality, with high rainfall in winter and less extreme temperatures during spring and summer, marked by high fungal pressure caused by elevated humidity and mild temperatures. Cool nights helped achieve balanced grape ripeness, highlighting the musts of the most traditional varieties, which are better adapted to the severe climate of Alentejo, producing elegant and extraordinarily fresh wines with great varietal expression. The harvest of the Trincadeira variety presented here began on 30 August 2024.

Winemaking: 100% destemmed grapes, with automatic grape sorting upon arrival at the winery. Cold pre-fermentation maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Alcoholic fermentation carried out with indigenous yeast (without adding yeast), aiming to preserve the authenticity of the variety’s expression.

Ageing: In stainless steel tanks for 18 months.

Recommended consumption period: 2025 to 2030

Serving temperature: 16ºC to 18 ºC

Tasting note: Garnet colour, with medium concentration. Fresh and elegant style, immediately revealing vegetal and red-fruit aromas, slight pepper with earthy notes of scrubland, dried herbs and some flint. Very well-defined fruit, soft tannins, with the wine’s volume standing out, along with balanced structure and acidity that give it considerable expression of the Alentejo “variety”.
