Harvest: A year of great quality, with high rainfall in winter and less extreme temperatures during spring and summer, marked by high fungal pressure caused by elevated humidity and mild temperatures. The cool nights helped achieve balanced ripeness in the grapes, highlighting the musts of the most traditional varieties, better adapted to the harsh climate of the Alentejo, producing elegant and extraordinarily fresh wines with great varietal expressiveness. The harvest of the Alicante Bouschet variety presented here began on September 14, 2024.

Winemaking: 100% destemmed grapes, with automatic grape sorting upon arrival at the winery. Cold pre-fermentation maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Alcoholic fermentations carried out with indigenous yeast (without added yeast), aiming to preserve the authenticity of the varietal expression.

Ageing: In stainless steel tanks for 18 months.

Recommended drinking period: 2025 to 2030

Serving temperature: 16ºC to 18 ºC

Tasting note: Garnet color, concentrated. Concentrated on the nose as well, yet fresh and complex, with forest fruits, some jam, eucalyptus, olives, and an underlying vegetal character complemented by floral notes. Very good structure, rounded tannins, and expressive fruit - neither overripe nor heavy, alongside excellent acidity that conveys great vigor and character.
