The characteristics of our honey are determined by the varied flora found in the typically Mediterranean mountain range, giving it a unique quality. Our beehives are located in a vast non-agricultural area, free from the use of pesticides and plant-protection products, as well as industrial or urban pollution.

In forestry terms, Serra de Portel is dominated by the montado ecosystem, where holm oak and cork oak prevail. It is therefore within this ecosystem that varied, spontaneous, typically wild Mediterranean flora develops, with rosemary and rockrose among the predominant species. These plants are rich in nectar and pollen and are responsible for the characteristics of our products.
