The characteristics of our honey are determined by the varied flora found in the typically Mediterranean mountain range, giving it a unique quality. Our beehives are located in a vast non-agricultural area, where the use of pesticides and phytopharmaceuticals is absent, as is pollution of industrial or urban origin.
In terms of forestry, Serra de Portel is dominated by montado, where holm oak and cork oak prevail. It is therefore within this ecosystem that a spontaneous and varied flora develops, typically wild and Mediterranean in character, with rosemary and rockrose predominating, among others, providing great nectar and pollen richness and being responsible for the characteristics of our products.
